Bio: Crossfit- Level 1 Trainer, NASM- CPT & Corrective Exercise Specialist, AdvoCoach, Group Ride and Spinning Instructor I fell in love with Crossfit during my first workout. I remember it clearly- feeling the barbell in my hands, the clang and bang, the feeling of success- every day I am reminded why I love crossfit and why I am so passionate about sharing the Crossfit Community with others. I believe fitness needs to be constantly varied to not get bored and prepare you for anything in life! Fitness starts with getting started and laying a solid foundation with your nutrition. I know from personal experience how hard it is to get started and to continue on your journey. Back in 2009, I hit 250lbs. Being a 5’2” female, that was very unhealthy for me. I was scared to walk into the gym and didn’t know where to get started. With the guidance of my family members, I was able to get the first 70lbs off and become a half-marathoner. By the winter of 2013, I needed more and that was when I found Crossfit. Crossfit is a lifestyle. It is a community where everyone is accepted and encouraged to make their next goal. No one is turned away, everyone is embraced, and that is why I am so passionate about it. Sara’s Personal Accomplishments: Completed 4 Half-Marathons: 2013 Brewers Mini-marathon, 2014 & 2015 Rock'n Sole, and 2014 Madison Mini. Competed in The Lakeshore Games (coming in 8th out of 22) and at Combat in the Creek. I aspire to make Crossfit Regionals in the next five years- a lot to accomplish, but every goal is achievable with the right mindset.
